About This Blog
ClimbingSky is a blog about poetry, music, books, art, sports, and the big open sky. It is about the enjoyment that comes from a good poem, a fine book, a great game, or the lilting song of a meadowlark heard blowing across a tallgrass prairie. Its scope is eclectic and random because our world is big and interesting and full of so many things to know and care about.

About M.A.H. Hinton
By day I am immersed in a world of technology. By night (most nights anyway), I live in a world of poetry, nature, language, and jazz. It is a day divided: betwixt and between brain hemispheres and categories of time (the horizontal existence of chronos, and the vertical existence of kairos).

I grew up in the rootless and restless West (California, Washington, and Montana), lived briefly in Chicago, Houston, and Michigan, but have been living in the North Country (Minnesota) for more than 30 years.

For more than 3 years, I blogged as MontanaWriter. For 40years, I have been reading, studying, and writing poetry, fiction, and theology. For more than 50 years, I have had a love affair with the natural world.
