To be able to post something everyday here at ClimbingSky, I need to always have postings scheduled a couple of weeks ahead of time. And have a basic plan for 30 days ahead of time.
My personal habit of writing daily helps. As well as sticking to things I have a lot of opinions about or have written about before.
The reality of my writing life is that I am not motivated to work on ClimbingSky every day. Somedays I want to work on other things. Having drafts queued up or pre-scheduled has thus far given me the cushion I need.
Blogging is an odd kind of writing. It is not quite journaling and not quite Creative Non-Fiction (a term I despise, by the way). There are a lot of ways that one could choose to blog. I have chosen this way.
On previous blogs, I focused on attracting readers. Sometimes I was successful. But that meant that often times I was writing for others and not for myself. That led inevitably to burn out.
At this point in my life, I writing about what interests me. And since my interests are many and my passions impulsive, ClimbingSky will no doubt remain varied in subject and tone for the foreseeable future.
Thanks again for stopping by.
