BOOK REVIEW: Paperbacks from Hell by Grady Hendrix

As someone who loves books about books, old paperbacks, and the Horror genre in general, when I first heard about this book a couple of years ago, I had to preorder it.

In Paperbacks from Hell, Horror author and vintage paperback book collector Grady Hendrix offers his expert commentary and insights into the kind of Horror paperbacks that were popular in the 1970s & 1980s.

Hendrix chronicles how horror fiction exploded following blockbuster successes of movies like Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist. Publishers flooded drugstores and spinner racks with lurid, sensational covers to entice readers He includes a gallery of these great paperback covers, as well as author and artist profiles, and commentary on which books are worth your time—and which are better left unread

I highly recommend it.
