Why Baseball, Books, and the Grateful Dead matter

600 Days and a New Cadence

When I started blogging again a year and a half ago, I knew from experience that posting daily would only last so long. I knew that, eventually, that cadence would need to be adjusted. After almost 600 daily posts, that time has come.

My habit has been to do most of my work on ClimbingSky between 5:30 and 7:00 AM on weekday mornings before heading to work. I also use that time to work on my poetry and other writing projects. After 600 days, I realize something needs to change.

Beginning this month, I will no longer be posting daily. Instead, I plan to stick to a regular schedule with fewer posts per week. My plan at this point looks like this with occasional exceptions:

  • Mondays: Music
  • Thursdays: Miscellaneous (poetry, book, or short story reviews; baseball; or deeper dives into my current projects)
  • Fridays: Quotes from my reading
  • Sundays: Miscellaneous (reviews, baseball, or deeper reflections)

As always, thanks for stopping by or subscribing to ClimbingSky. I am truly honored that you do.
