It has been another great season for me watching baseball this year. Here is what 2025 looked like for me for In-Person Baseball :

April 16th – Target Field, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Minnesota Twins 4 – 3 New York Mets 
(10th Inning victory)

May 9th – Target Field, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Minnesota Twins 3 – 1 San Francisco Giants
(Byron Buxton lead off Triple)

May 29th – Equity Bank Stadium, Wichita, Kansas
Tulsa Drillers 4 – 3 Wichita Wind Surge

May 30th – Equity Bank Stadium, Wichita, Kansas
Wichita Wind Surge 7 – 1 Tulsa Drillers

July 6th – Wrigley Field , Chicago, Illinois 
Chicago Cubs 11 – 0 St. Louis Cardinals 

July 7th –  AUSL Field , Chicago, Illinois 

July 9th – Rate Field, Chicago, Illinois 
Chicago White Sox 2 – 1 Toronto Blue Jays 

July 30th – Target Field, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Boston Red Sox 13 – 1 Minnesota Twins 

August 10th – Target Field, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Minnesota Twins 5 – 3 Kansas City Royals
(11th inning walk-off HR by Luke Keaschall; also Ryan Fitzgerald’s first MLB hit, a 2-run homer)

Highlights

  • Getting to “NEW” Comiskey for the first time
  • My first “Night Game” at Wrigley Field
  • Seeing two games in Wichita (the Twins AA Affiliate)
  • Getting to see Salvador Perez play in person another time
  • Watching almost every Twins broadcast this summer with Sue

  1. Great pics with the Pope being the biggest surprise! And I can’t help wondering now who wore number 12 on the Bears? And of course a quick search and AI spit out the answer. A good choice that Tanner Boyle. He was an old school kind of ballplayer. Enjoy the playoffs.

    1. I picked the jersey up in a thrift shop on Milwaukee Ave at the start of the trip and decided I had to wear it to all the different games. A few fellow “Boomers” understood the reference.
