LISTENING NOTES:

This album was a complete listening pleasure from beginning to end. Armel Dupas’ spacious, lyrical piano and Kenny Ruby’s warm, supportive bass created exactly the kind of conversational trio sound that I have come to value most. Rather than featuring individual standout tracks, the album succeeds through its overall mood, balance, and sense of musical dialogue. Listening to it felt like overhearing an intimate conversation among close friends. After this first experience, I can confidently say that I have become a fan of the Armel Dupas Trio and look forward to exploring much more of their work. This is unquestionably a vinyl-worthy recording.
